This was our first home buy, and I'm not sure what I expected from a realtor (hint: we started off trying to do it on our own because I didn't imagine they could be all that useful...whew was that a poor judgment on my part). So I don't say lightly that our experience with Debra Greco was just stellar, I can't imagine it going better. Let's put it this way: imagine the highest possible standards you could have for an agent -- meticulous, client-centered, diligent, optimistic, empathetic, pragmatic, all at once and each and every time, whether the first offer or the tenth. Now imagine someone who exceeds those standards, and continues to even though we closed months ago. That's Debra. Like I said, this was our first home buy, and neither of us come from financially savvy families, so a lot of the process was a mystery before we went in, despite our best attempts at informing ourselves. Debra and her crew did an amazing job of educating us on the market, on what our budget could afford in various neighborhoods around Long Beach (and given the seller's market we were dealing with, this was hugely helpful in letting us organically adjust our expectations and our range of choices), and keeping us apprised of every listing that met our criteria. It was still a competitive market, and we made several offers over the course of a few months where, despite coming in a close second, we continuously just missed out on top offer (including, at first, on our new home!). Debra was encouraging and active throughout this rather arduous up and down cycle, and was very flexible with our very busy schedules, often taking it on herself to take a look at properties and sending pictures/thoughts to us when our schedules didn't quite line up. She knew our preferences so well by the end that we were really able to focus on properties that were in our "five-star" range.
